Repost from @untilfreedom

Want to bring folks back to the reality of our people and movements. Our fights continue and we must stay focused and committed to the work because no one will save us but us.

Prosecutors will appeal this. It’s always justice for Breonna Taylor for us.

On Thursday, a federal judge dismissed felony charges against two former Louisville Metro Police Department detectives, who worked on the raid that led to #BreonnaTaylor’s unfortunate death.

According to @CNN, US District Court Judge Charles Simpson ruled that the decision made by #KennethWalker to fire his gun was “the legal cause of Taylor’s death,” rather than the police officers’ entry into Breonna’s apartment.

As previously reported, #JoshuaJaynes and #KyleMeany were charged with submitting a false affidavit to search Breonna’s home and then allegedly working together to create a “false cover story in an attempt to escape responsibility for their roles in preparing the warrant affidavit that contained false information.” CNN reports that their charges carried a maximum sentence of life in prison.
